Rogers Spencer are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Accounts and Audit Department.

Working for Rogers Spencer means

Main Responsibilities

Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
Preparing statutory year-end accounts, primarily for Limited Companies.
Preparing Corporation Tax computations.
Managing audit fieldwork, identifying key risk areas and ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
Liaising directly with clients throughout the audit process and building strong working relationships.
Supervising, training and mentoring junior members of the team.
Reviewing work prepared by junior staff and providing constructive feedback.
Assisting managers and directors with client meetings and ad hoc assignments.
Ensuring client deadlines are met and maintaining a high standard of service.

Skills Required

ACA or ACCA qualified (or qualified by experience will be considered).
Previous experience in a Senior Audit & Accounts role within an accountancy practice.
Strong audit experience, including planning, fieldwork and completion.
Good knowledge of UK accounting standards and audit regulations.
Confident using Excel, Word and ideally CCH software, including Audit Automation.
Experience working with charities desirable, although training can be provided.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
Self-motivated with excellent attention to detail.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and client relationship skills, both written and verbal.
Experience supervising and supporting junior team members.
