Assistant Housing Officer
Glasgow
£29,217 - £30,755 per year
37.5 hours per week
We have an opportunity for a Assistant Housing Officer to join our team in Glasgow. For this position you will be expected to support the delivery of a high-quality housing service that meets the identified needs of our customers in accordance with the Sanctuary in Scotland business plan.
You will be working in a team of 9 Housing Officers, 4 full-time Housing Assistants, 1 part-time Housing Assistant, an Area Manager and a Housing Manager. You will work on a variety of administrative tasks to provide support and enable the delivery of a high-quality housing management service. You will receive full training, on-going support and opportunities to develop. Whilst this is a very diverse and challenging role, it is equally rewarding. If you are highly motivated, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for providing excellent customer service, this could be the role for you.
The role of Assistant Housing Officer will include:
- Processing Housing Applications
- Providing information to applicants on the rehousing process
- Processing invoices and purchase orders
- Providing front line service to all customers at local office
- Working with housing officers to process tenancy changes
Skills and experiences:
- Literacy and numeracy equivalent to Scottish National 5
- SVQ2 in relevant area
- Some experience of delivering high quality tenancy services
- Working knowledge of working to deadlines and prioritising workloads
- Some knowledge of relevant regulations and good practice
- Some experience of analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing solutions
- Excellent communication skills in both written and spoken English
