Transformation Project Manager / Delivery LeadAbout the Role
We are looking for an experienced Transformation Project Manager / Delivery Lead to take ownership of a complex digital and business transformation programme that will shape the future of one of our key client environments.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on delivering meaningful change, enjoys solving complex challenges, and can confidently lead multiple workstreams from planning through to successful delivery.
You will be responsible for managing a large-scale transformation programme involving multiple suppliers, technical teams, business stakeholders and third-party partners. Working closely with senior leadership, you will ensure delivery remains structured, transparent and aligned with agreed business outcomes.
This is far more than a traditional Project Management role. We are looking for someone who can think strategically whilst remaining hands-on with day-to-day delivery. You will be comfortable operating within an environment of business change, technical complexity, legacy systems, data migration, system integrations and operational transformation.
You'll have the confidence to challenge assumptions, identify risks before they become issues, facilitate informed decision-making, and provide the governance needed to keep a complex programme moving forward.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of a large digital transformation programme.
- Own and maintain the overall programme plan across multiple workstreams.
- Coordinate internal teams, external suppliers and client stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
- Manage programme governance, including:
- Risks
- Issues
- Actions
- Decisions
- Dependencies
- RAID reporting
- Produce clear and meaningful status reporting for senior stakeholders.
- Ensure workstreams remain aligned, dependencies are understood and delivery milestones are achieved.
- Identify gaps, remove blockers and proactively manage delivery risks.
- Facilitate programme meetings, workshops and steering groups.
- Ensure business readiness, operational impacts and change activities are considered throughout delivery.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, providing confidence through clear communication and effective programme leadership.
About You
We're looking for someone who combines excellent organisation with strong commercial awareness and exceptional stakeholder management.
You'll be proactive, highly organised and naturally take ownership of delivery. Rather than simply reporting progress, you'll actively drive it.
Ideally you'll have experience delivering several of the following:
- Digital transformation programmes
- Customer-facing platforms
- CRM implementations
- Membership platforms
- E-commerce solutions
- Data migration
- Systems integration
- Service redesign
- Business change
- Legacy system replacement or modernisation
You'll also demonstrate:
- Excellent planning and programme management skills.
- Strong risk and dependency management.
- The confidence to challenge constructively and influence senior stakeholders.
- The ability to work across both technical and non-technical teams.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills.
- A structured, pragmatic approach with a focus on delivering outcomes rather than unnecessary process.
