Full job description

At Storefast Solutions we blend and pack a range of products for the drinks industry, primarily canned cocktails. The business is growing rapidly and we're expanding our engineering team and are looking to recruit another Multi-Skilled Shift Engineer on our PM shift.

We're looking for a multi skilled engineer with strong electrical expertise, and experience within drinks manufacturing or FMCG; someone who is also highly skilled in Continuous Improvement methodologies and establishing standard machine settings, creating SOPs and training. You'll help us optimise each piece of equipment on our canning line, the Lowerator, the seamer, the case erector etc.

Working Hours

You would be on a fixed shift pattern, working Monday - Friday: 5am-2pm, with the need for occasional flexibility on shifts plus occasional weekend work.

Job Description

At Storefast, our canning line is the heartbeat of the business. When it runs well, everything works. When it doesn’t, we need to get it back up and running asap.

We’re looking for a multi-skilled engineer who thrives in a fast-paced production environment and takes pride in keeping machines running at their best.

The role will focus on several key areas

- Setting up the canning line and Bag in Box lines ready for production

- Attending breakdowns to get the lines back up and running

- Completing changeovers when we're changing between products

- Completing planned preventative maintenance on the canning line, and across the site

- Contributing to Continuous Improvement projects to drive forward our Standard Machine Settings and operational efficiency in order to reduce downtime and improve OEE

You’ll be

Working across mechanical and electrical systems—from motors and sensors to pumps and pneumatics
Identifying recurring issues and fixing them at their root cause
Supporting improvements to line performance and reliability
Working closely with production to keep everything moving

What You’ll Need

Experience in maintenance engineering within a manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills
Skilled at defining and following standard machine settings to make our changeovers slicker and reduce our downtime
Experience working on automated production or packaging lines
Confidence working under pressure when the line is down
A hands-on mindset—you’re someone who gets stuck in and solves problems

Bonus Points If You Have

Experience with canning, bottling, or beverage lines
Knowledge of pasteurisers, conveyors, or filling equipment
Basic PLC fault-finding experience
Engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, HNC, or similar)
