Are you full of good ideas and positive energy? Then you might be the perfect element to join our Chemistry team!

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Lecturer in Chemistry to join our Science team and deliver high-quality teaching that inspires learners to achieve their full potential.

As a Lecturer in Chemistry, you will be directly responsible for the delivery of engaging teaching, learning and assessment across a range of academic levels. This may include delivery within our High School provision (ages 14–16) as well as further and higher education programmes.

The Role

You will play a key role in the organisation and delivery of Chemistry programmes, ensuring positive student outcomes across units, modules and courses. Your responsibilities will include:

Planning, preparing and delivering high-quality lessons in line with the SOLAR (Scheme of Learning and Reflection) or, for Higher Education provision, the relevant Module Guide

Producing detailed lesson plans and learning materials that meet curriculum and awarding body requirements

Acting as a Personal Tutor, supporting students’ academic progress and wellbeing

Organising and managing all aspects of the programmes you deliver, including assessment, marking and feedback

Contributing to quality assurance and continuous improvement processes

Inspiring, motivating and challenging learners to achieve their best

You will also play an active role in promoting and developing the Science curriculum, working collaboratively with colleagues to enhance teaching practice and student experience across the wider Science team.

You will be an enthusiastic and committed educator with strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and a learner-centred approach. You will be organised, adaptable and confident teaching across a range of levels, with a genuine passion for supporting student success.
