Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Milling Machine Operator/Setter to join our manufacturing team. This role involves setting up, programming, and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components. The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering knowledge and experience with various manufacturing processes found within a machine shop. This position offers an excellent opportunity for part or full time employment, within a friendly family run, business.

Duties

Set up and operate a CNC milling machine in accordance with technical drawings and specifications
The cnc machine is a Haas Mini Mill
Monitor machine operation to ensure accurate production and quality standards are maintained
Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of CNC equipment
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and tooling to assist in machine setup and component assembly
Flexible and able to get involved with the assembly of components
Apply basic maths skills for measurements, tolerances, and calculations during setup and production processes
Maintain a clean, organised work area adhering to health and safety standards

Experience

Proven experience operating and setting CNC milling machines in a manufacturing environment
Knowledge of machining processes including milling, basic turning, and assembly techniques
aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools, power tools, and tooling systems within a workshop.
Understanding of basic maths for measurements and calculations relevant to machining tasks
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately

This role requires a proactive individual with strong organisational skills who is committed to producing high-quality components efficiently. Candidates should demonstrate a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of manufacturing principles.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: £14.00-£21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 per week
