Full job description

Location: Heathfield Ind Est, Newton Abbot

Hours: 35 hours - 9:00am-16:00pm (flexible)

Pay: £27,500

QMS is a forward-thinking line marking and specialist surfacing company based at Heathfield Industrial Estate, Newton Abbot. Due to the relocation of our existing Office Manager, we are looking for a suitable replacement to fill this invaluable position.

The successful applicant will be outgoing, organised and with the ability to prioritise and adapt quickly. The role includes everything you would expect in this type of position. You will be responsible for assisting the estimating and contracting teams with administration, answering telephone calls and emails and ensuring that the office runs smoothly. You will book accommodation for both operational teams and management, balancing value for money with comfort and wellbeing. You will manage supplier contracts from mobile phones to fuel cards.

As well as the office manager role, you will be responsible for some of the day-to-day HR functions, specifically onboarding new starters and ensuring all paperwork is completed and filed accordingly.

In addition to the office management and HR role, you will have a passion for mental health and supporting others. You will be a mental health first aider or willing to undertake this training (paid for by QMS). You will be the first port of call for anyone in the company who is struggling for any reason. You will be compassionate, non-judgemental and easy to talk to. You will support and signpost, so a good working knowledge of local, national and industry specific support services is advantageous.

Pay: £27,500.00 per year
