We are seeking a friendly and professional Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth operation of the front-of-house.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop customer service skills within a vibrant and dynamic environment. The Host will be responsible for greeting guests, managing reservations, and maintaining the customer area to enhance overall guest experience.
Duties
- Warmly greet guests upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements
- Manage reservations efficiently, including booking, confirming, and adjusting as needed
- Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally, providing accurate information about services and availability
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the venue area to create an inviting environment
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely service delivery and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest enquiries courteously, providing exceptional customer service at all times
- Assist in managing waiting lists during busy periods and communicate wait times effectively
- Support event or special occasion preparations as required
Skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a friendly demeanour
- Strong organisational abilities to manage reservations and guest flow effectively
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy periods
- Professional appearance and positive attitude at all times
- Basic computer literacy for reservation systems and communication tools
- Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
