We specialise in mechanics training with an embedded SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) program. Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join our team as a Learning and Quality Coordinator. This is a unique role combining elements of curriculum development, quality assurance, instructor training, and stakeholder engagement.
You will play a vital role in ensuring our programme meets the needs of learners who may be disengaged from mainstream education, including those with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). The role requires a strong understanding of inclusive practice, learner engagement, and high-quality alternative education delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development & Quality
- Create, review, and adapt course content to meet the needs of learners in Alternative Provision
- Ensure programmes are engaging, accessible, and aligned with national standards
- Monitor and support course quality across delivery sites nationally
- Embed inclusive and trauma-informed approaches into curriculum design
Instructor Training & Support
- Deliver initial Instructor Training
- Support instructors to effectively engage learners with diverse and complex needs
- Promote consistent, high-quality delivery across all training programmes
Qualifications & Certification
- Manage qualification registrations and certification processes
- Ensure compliance with awarding body and regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date learner records
Stakeholder Engagement
- Attend regular online and face-to-face meetings with commissioners and partners
- Build strong relationships with local authorities, schools, and alternative provision settings
- Represent the organisation at national meetings (occasional travel required)
Learner Support & Inclusion
- Interpret and apply information from EHCPs to inform curriculum delivery and support strategies
- Champion inclusive, learner-centred approaches
- Support the development of strategies to re-engage learners and improve outcomes
Person Specification
Essential:
- Strong understanding of EHCPs and supporting learners with additional needs
- Experience in curriculum development, training delivery, or quality assurance
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to travel occasionally at a national level
Desirable:
- Teaching, training, or assessing qualification (e.g. PTLLS, AET, or equivalent)
- Experience delivering staff training
- Knowledge of awarding bodies and qualification frameworks
