THE ROLE: Legal Account Manager
LOCATION: Grimsby
SALARY: Starting at £27,000.00 dependent on experience + benefits.
HOURS: 37.5 hours per week Monday – Friday

The Role
We are looking for a proactive, detail orientated and effective communicator to join our legal team. In this role, you’ll be required to draft court applications, communicate with and support customers to ensure positive outcomes through good communication and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Issuing claims against dealerships or third parties who have outstanding sums due to us or who have our vehicle and progressing any defended claims in this regard
- Dealing with complex defended court claims from customers (collating evidence, drafting witness statements, preparing files for hearing)
- Handling court claims against the company (collating evidence, drafting witness statements, preparing files for hearing)
- Attending court hearings on behalf of the business
- Instructing and liaising with agents who attend hearings on our behalf
- Supporting customers in a professional and empathetic way, always aiming for excellent service and fair outcomes
- Managing vulnerable customer accounts, including handling sensitive conversations and identifying when pre-care or support pathways are appropriate (such as TEXAS protocol or carer support)
- Reviewing departmental emails and responding
- Investigating accounts to ensure customer information is accurate and up to date, including reviewing applications and carrying out employment checks
- Handling incoming departmental post
- Drafting court applications (N1, AOE, ROG, CO)
Person Specification
Essential:
Previous telephone or customer facing experience
Excellent telephone and written communication skills
Good IT Skills (Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel & Adobe Acrobat PDF)
Team focused but self-motivated
High level of attention to detail
Problem solving attitude
Desirable:
Previous experience working within an office or regulated financial services environment.
