Location: Kingswinford – travelling across England & Wales
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Typical Weekly Earnings: £750+
Pay Day: Every Friday
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced, reliable Lead Installer to join our installation team, delivering and installing sheds, workshops and summerhouses across England and Wales.
This is not an entry-level fitter position. We’re looking for someone who can develop into a key member of the team and take responsibility for leading installations to a high standard.
Experience in carpentry, joinery, shed building or shed installation would be particularly valuable.
Please read before applying – this role involves long days
Our installation teams meet at our Kingswinford factory early each morning, with start times sometimes as early as 4:00am.
From there, you’ll drive to the customer’s property, complete the installation, return to the factory and load the van ready for the following day.
Days can sometimes be 10–12+ hours, with an average working week of approximately 50 hours.
A significant part of the job is travelling. Depending on the location of the installation, you could spend 4–6 hours driving in a day, with the actual installation itself sometimes only taking a few hours.
The long hours are reflected in your weekly earnings.
Most of our experienced installers can expect to earn at least £750 per week on average, with opportunities to earn additional money for work such as constructing timber-framed bases.
With additional work and customer tips, it is not uncommon for installers to take home around £800 in a week.
Unlike many employers, we pay every Friday – there is no waiting until the end of the month to be paid.
What We’re Looking For
We’re particularly interested in candidates with experience in one or more of the following:
- Carpentry or joinery
- Shed, summerhouse or garden-building installation
- Timber construction
- Working with hand and power tools
- Leading or working within a two-person installation team
You must hold a full UK driving licence as driving is a major part of the role.
More importantly, we’re looking for someone who is reliable, punctual, hardworking and takes pride in the quality of their work.
As the Lead Installer, you’ll also need to be confident dealing with customers, solving minor problems on site and taking responsibility for ensuring each building is completed properly before leaving.
What We Offer
Typical earnings of £750+ per week based on our usual working hours, with the potential for additional earnings.
Additional payments for certain work, including constructing timber-framed bases.
Weekly pay every Friday.
Permanent, full-time employment with an established garden-building company.
Opportunity to progress as an experienced Lead Installer and take greater responsibility within the installation team.
Free on-site parking at our Kingswinford factory.
