About the role:
The role is entirely based in our modern, well-kept facility in Kintore, Aberdeenshire. The candidate will assist with keeping our workshop, yard and equipment in a clean and tidy state. A key part of the candidate’s role will be painting of equipment – ranging from marine cranes to hydraulic power units. It will include smaller touch ups of damaged paint, through to a full new topcoat.
In addition to this the candidate will be regularly power washing equipment, to ensure that it is clean before entering the workshop and prior to being dispatched to a client.
The candidate will also assist the various workshop departments with ongoing work, such as spooling and unspooling of winch wire and hydraulic hoses.
Lastly, the candidate may be expected to assist with smaller local delivery in the works vans.
The majority of the work will be physical based and will involve working outside in inclement weather from time to time.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Touch up paint on rental equipment as directed by the Workshop Supervisor.
- Pressure wash all incoming and outgoing rental equipment.
- Preparing equipment pre and post paint, for example masking, tapping out holes, etc.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping within the yard and workshop.
- Assist with the preparation equipment for movement into the workshop, or for shipping out to third party contractors or clients.
- Carry out local deliveries as and when required using the company vans.
- Ensure the exterior areas of the yard and car park are clean and tidy.
- To attend company training courses as required by company to ensure level of competency is maintained.
