About Fly Cup
Fly Cup is an established charity with over 25 years of experience as a social enterprise in the catering and hospitality sector. We provide training and skills development as well as employability placements to individuals with learning disabilities, autism and ADHD. Our mission is to support vulnerable people to develop confidence, independence and employment opportunities through high-quality provision in hospitality, catering and bakery production.
The Role
This is an exciting opportunity to support our Training and Wellbeing Manager in delivering high-quality employability services within Fly Cup. You will work specifically with trainees engaged in our employability provision, supporting their development, progression and sustainability in employment pathways. This role is essential in ensuring we maintain quality standards and compliance with our No One Left Behind (NOLB) partnership and Qualification Scotland requirements whilst keeping our trainee voice and lived experience at the centre of everything we do.
You will be someone with excellent interpersonal skills, strong organisational abilities and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable individuals. You must be able to work collaboratively, communicate effectively at all levels and demonstrate a trauma-informed approach to support.
Trainee Support & Engagement:
- Provide direct support to trainees within the employability provision of Fly Cup
- Meet with trainees on a monthly basis to review progress, identify support needs and adapt the pace of support as required
- Support existing delivery of employability activities and training
- Support our trainees towards positive outcomes
- Ensure trainees are at the centre of service design and decision-making, building links with lived experience
- Apply trauma-informed approaches in all interactions with trainees
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Liaise with Qualification Scotland as Coordinator for Fly Cup and ensure standards are meeting regulatory requirements
- Support the implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures relevant to employability delivery
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with NOLB requirements
- Ensure competent and safe delivery of the employability service within Fly Cup
NOLB Partnership & Administrative:
- Register trainees on the NOLB systems and maintain accurate, up-to-date records
- Report to the main charity responsible for the NOLB partnership as required
- Attend performance meetings, regional community meetings and other partnership activities as scheduled
- Collect and analyse data on employability service use and outcomes
- Prepare reports and presentations for management and stakeholders using data and evidence
Safeguarding & Welfare:
- Identify and escalate any safeguarding concerns or welfare issues to the Training and Wellbeing Manager
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality and data protection in all interactions
- Support trainees in maintaining their wellbeing and identifying additional support needs
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in project or programme support/coordination
- Experience of working with or knowledge of supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and/or ADHD
- Strong understanding of employment barriers, long-term unemployment and employability challenges
- Excellent project management and organisational skills
- Good IT knowledge including Microsoft 365
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with trainees, colleagues and external stakeholders
- Understanding of trauma-informed practice
- Full driving licence (essential for flexibility and potential meetings/visits)
Desirable
- Knowledge and understanding of NOLB partnership framework
- Experience of working with multiple barriers and/or long-term unemployment
- Knowledge of employability frameworks and pathways
- Experience of engaging with employers and developing workplace partnership
- Knowledge of Hanlon (our case management system)
- Familiarity with Qualification Scotland standards
