Full job description

We are looking for a part-time receptionist / podiatry assistant to join our team for a minimum of 20 hours per week.

We currently have a team of eight podiatrists, a foot health practitioner, four receptionists / podiatry assistants and an auxiliary, across two clinics. This role will be based across our two clinical sites.

We are independent clinic, providing a range of foot health and foot care treatment to paying patients. We treat patients of all ages from babies to the elderly, with a range of needs and abilities.

Our current rate of pay for this role is the national living wage at £13 per hour.

We provide our team a government-based pension and 28 days holiday entitlement pro rata.

Job Description

The patient journey; Greeting patients on arrival, finalising appointments, and payments
Answering the telephone and making appointments
Accurately collecting new patient information and updating current information
Taking patient to relevant surgery and assisting with shoes and socks if required
Creating invoices, taking payment from patients and booking return appointments
Typing Practice correspondence
Carrying out other general administrative tasks such as photocopying, printing and filing
Ensuring surgeries, waiting area, toilets and staff areas are clean, tidy, and ready for use
Ensuring surgeries are well stocked with instruments and equipment required by podiatrists
Ensuring merchandise displays are clean, fully stocked and priced
Sterilising instruments
Cutting materials and dressings
Assisting the Podiatrists with any other tasks required
Running errands for the Practice such as to the trips to the post office
Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times
Adhering to the Practice’s Code of Conduct

Skills required

Computer literate – Microsoft Word, Excel etc.

Self-motivated
Ability to show initiative
Reliable and conscientious
Professional personal presentation

Essential skills
