Apprentice HGV Mechanic
Mostell Logistics (part of the Browns Food Group) are looking to recruit an Apprentice HGV Mechanic.
This is a new and exciting vacancy for an Apprentice HGV Mechanic to join the team and kick-start your career. Mostell Logistics has a fleet of; 42 trucks (mainly DAF), 44 trailers (mostly Gray and Adams),12 vans and 45 cars.
Candidates must have good communication and interpersonal skills and have a genuine interest in achieving an apprenticeship as well as a genuine interest in HGV maintenance.
The Role
- Assist with maintenance – troubleshooting, fault finding / diagnostics using up to date electronic diagnostic equipment
- Assist with workshop upkeep – ensure workshop is kept clean and organised for a safe and efficient environment, adhering to H&S standards
- Assist with MOT preparation
- Defects and damage – assist with responding to defects and damage claims
- Administration
o working with the office to ensure parts are sourced, ordered and stored correctly
o ensure sock levels are maintained
o ensure job cards are accurate
The role will initially include on the job training with the opportunity of external college training in 2027 which will be discussed at interview.

Hours: Monday – Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm during apprenticeship
Pay: Over 18, real living wage at £13.45 per hour
