Requirements
Minimum of 4 years of experience in event planning, marketing, or a similar role.
Proven experience in organizing and managing events of various sizes, from planning through to execution.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail and deadlines.
Comfortable analysing basic event performance data and preparing reports.
Awareness of event performance metrics such as attendee engagement, lead generation and ROI.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate with vendors, partners, and internal teams.
Ability to think creatively when planning events and strategically when assessing event opportunities.
A proactive attitude and a meticulous approach to event planning and problem-solving.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with a willingness to travel and work irregular hours as needed.
Capacity to lift and move event materials, such as banners, and display stands, when needed.
Responsibilities
Support the Marketing Manager in researching and identifying suitable trade shows, conferences and industry events that align with the company's marketing objectives.
Develop detailed event plans, including timelines, budgets, and objectives. Coordinate all event logistics, including booking venues, arranging transport and accommodation. Oversee the setup and breakdown of event stands, booths, and promotional materials.
Liaising regularly with distributors about upcoming shows, the support we can offer them and forwarding content from the shows to our social media team.
Assist with the creation of promotional strategies and marketing materials to maximize event visibility and engagement. Ensure brand consistency across all event-related content and materials. Ensure the event team is equipped with a thorough understanding of the product and can communicate its value propositions clearly to the target market.
Gather post-event evaluation and analyse metrics, such as attendee engagement, leads generated, and return on investment (ROI). Prepare comprehensive reports summarizing event outcomes, key insights, areas for improvement, and provide strategic recommendations.
Develop and deliver product training materials for both internal teams and external audiences.
Research campaign ideas, strategies, and new ways for the marketing team to be improved.
Assisting with content production, blog posts, media decks and general launch/marketing materials.
Maintaining event schedules and marketing calendars.
Coordinating marketing assets with designers and external agencies.
Managing branded merchandise and promotional stock.
Supporting social media activity before, during and after events.
Assisting with purchase orders and supplier invoices.
Maintaining CRM or lead database from exhibitions.
Organising product samples and demonstration units.
About the Role
As an Assistant Marketing Manager (Events & Training), you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of global marketing events, exhibitions and product training programmes. Working closely with the marketing team, distributors and internal stakeholders, you will help ensure every event is delivered to a high standard, strengthens brand awareness and creates meaningful engagement with customers and partners.
This is a varied, hands-on role that combines event coordination, marketing support and product training. You will assist with organising exhibitions and trade shows, liaising with distributors, coordinating marketing materials, supporting content creation, analysing event performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. You will also contribute to the development of product training materials and help ensure our teams and partners have the knowledge and resources they need to represent our products effectively.
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, proactive and creative, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced international environment. A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences through events and marketing will be key to succeeding in this role.
