Full job description

Skilled/ Semi skilled HGV fitter required for busy transport company based in the Poulton-Le-Fylde area, successful applicant will assist in the day to day general maintenance of our own and customers commercial fleets.

What the position involves:

Mechanical, electrical repair and preventative maintenance of our own and customer vehicles and trailers.
You will also diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical defects and related ancillary equipment in compliance with company and legislative requirements.
Prepare and present vehicles for Annual Test, carry out brake tests
Ensure work is completed to the required standard
Be polite and courteous to customers and other members of staff at all times
Monday to Friday Working with alternate Saturday Mornings required

Skills and knowledge:

You will have relevant technical experience gained from working in a relevant workshop
The ability to work to your own initiative or as part of a team is essential
Applicants should have a full clean driving licence (HGV licence would be advantageous)
Hourly rate depends on experience.
