Role Purpose

The Roofing Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of roofing works across multiple properties. The role requires proven roofing experience and the ability to manage multiple roofing teams simultaneously, ensuring works are completed in line with programme, specification, and health & safety requirements.

The Roofing Supervisor acts as the key operational link between roofing operatives, subcontractors, the Site Manager, and residents.

Key Responsibilities

Health & Safety

Ensure all roofing works are delivered in compliance with RAMS, CDM Regulations, and company procedures.
Confirm RAMS are received, briefed, signed, and followed by all operatives.
Carry out regular site inspections and record findings.
Stop works where unsafe practices are identified.

Supervision & Delivery

Supervise multiple roofing teams and subcontractors.
Plan and coordinate daily roofing activities.
Ensure works are delivered to specification.

Quality Control

Inspect works at key stages and completion.
Manage snagging and rectify defects.

Labour, Materials & Access

Coordinate labour, materials, scaffolding, and access.

Communication & Reporting

Provide daily updates to the Site Manager.
Liaise professionally with residents.

Completion & Handover

Ensure works are complete, snag-free, and ready for sign-off.

Essential Requirements (Must Haves)

Previous experience in roofing (trade background essential).
Proven experience supervising roofing works.
Experience managing multiple roofing teams simultaneously.
Strong knowledge of roofing health & safety.
Ability to read drawings and specifications.
Strong organisational and communication skills.

Desirable

SSSTS or SMSTS.
NVQ Level 2/3 in Roofing or Construction Supervision.
Experience in occupied or social housing environments.

Key Attribute

A proactive, safety-focused supervisor able to manage quality, programme, and people across multiple roofing workstreams.
