Bristol University Day Nursery

Job Vacancy for Qualified Early Years Practitioner.

Our starting salary range is: £28,778pa to £33,002, depending on experience. (Level 3 qualified, Full -time, 40 hours per week between 8.30am and 5.30pm)
Full-time 40 hours over 4 and a half days or Part time, minimum of three 9 hour days.
Excellent holiday entitlement (35 days) including standard 28 days holiday, extra days for Christmas closure, 2 additional University closure days and extra annual leave for long service.

We are a diverse and unique setting providing childcare of the staff and students at the University. Our families are not just from Bristol but from further afield or abroad. Our children are multi-lingual and we support them in various ways, including a multilingual staff team. As a setting we focus on ensuing that children and families are settled and feel a sense of belonging in our nursery community. We are a non-profit making charity with the money received from fees going straight to staff and children’s resources. We have a strong management team and committee, with a drive for reflection and improvement. We strive for fun, care and laughter whilst providing wonderful opportunities for the children in our care.

One half day per week and a rota given a week in advance. Part time hours available working 9 hour days, minimum of 2 days per week.
We are a living wage employer and have annual pay reviews in April
Excellent holiday entitlement (35 days) including standard 28 days holiday, extra days for Christmas closure, 2 additional University closure days and extra annual leave for long service.
Employers contribute to company pension up to 12.5%.
Free uniform
Paid 45 minute lunch break.
Career progression and lots of training opportunities
We offer opportunities for progression, two staff training days, first aid, food hygiene and manual handling training as standard, time for paperwork and monthly staff meetings.
Time in lieu for overtime.

We are looking or someone who will:

Provide the children with a safe, secure and home like environment.
Have a working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Operate a key person system and liaise with parents, carers and senior staff.
Plan, organise and implement a programme of activities to meet the needs of this age group and each individual child's needs and interests.
Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team.
Enjoy the variety and spontaneity of early years.

You must:

Have a full and relevant level 3 Qualification minimum . Level 2 applicants are welcome to apply (salary would be different)
