Are you an innovative Senior Civil or Structural Engineer or Consultant who enjoys thinking creatively and approaching challenges with agility? Do you feel energised by applying your technical expertise while continuing to grow your leadership and engineering management capabilities?
If you're motivated by taking ownership of structural design and assessment, working with advanced analytical methods such as finite element analysis, and engaging meaningfully with clients and teams, this could be the role for you.
Whether you are already chartered (IStructE, ICE, or equivalent), or bring equivalent capability, this is an opportunity to build on your strengths and expand your experience within a thriving and forward-looking industry.
We are growing our team in Bristol and are looking for Senior Civil and Structural Engineers to support major new nuclear build programmes, including Hinkley Point C, Sizewell C, Small Modular Reactor (SMR) initiatives, and future fusion technologies. You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality outcomes while strengthening relationships and continuing to develop your technical and leadership expertise.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
-
Apply your experience across civil and structural design and analysis, including steelwork and reinforced concrete structures.
-
Bring your background from design consultancy, project engineering, or research and development into diverse and impactful project environments.
-
Lead, undertake, and review the design of new structures, taking ownership and accountability for delivery outcomes.
-
Coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated and high-quality engineering solutions.
-
Apply your experience within regulated environments (such as nuclear, power, or rail) to ensure safe and compliant outcomes.
-
Build strong relationships with clients by understanding their needs and delivering solutions aligned to time, cost, and quality.
-
Contribute to business growth by supporting the development of bids and tenders.
-
Guide and support others through mentoring and leadership, helping to build a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
-
Work flexibly across office and client environments (minimum 3 days per week), gaining exposure to varied projects and stakeholders.
We take a strengths-based approach, focusing on what you naturally do well and how you can grow and thrive with us. You may find that many of the following resonate with you:
-
You are a Chartered Engineer (IStructE, ICE, or equivalent), with a strong foundation in civil or structural engineering.
-
You enjoy applying your civil-structural expertise to complex engineering challenges and are motivated to deepen your specialism.
-
You bring a curious and analytical mindset, often exploring problems from different perspectives to develop effective solutions.
-
You feel confident taking ownership of your work, including leading design activities and contributing to project delivery.
-
You value collaboration and enjoy working across multidisciplinary teams, building strong and trusted relationships.
-
You are comfortable working in structured, regulated environments and bring a strong focus on quality and safety.
-
You communicate clearly and thoughtfully, whether through technical reporting, reviews, or stakeholder engagement.
-
You are motivated to contribute to business development activities, including supporting bids and identifying opportunities.
-
You find fulfilment in mentoring and supporting others, helping to build capability within the team.
-
You enjoy balancing technical depth with broader project considerations, delivering practical and proportionate solutions.
-
You are inspired by the opportunity to work on major nuclear programmes and contribute to a more sustainable future.
