Apex Doma is a registered Approved Contractor with the NICEIC, operating to the highest standards of electrical safety, compliance and workmanship. As part of our continued growth, we are looking to strengthen our technical capability and compliance team. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be registered as a Qualified Supervisor within our NICEIC scheme and work alongside our existing technical team to help maintain the high standards that Apex Doma is known for.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and qualified Electrician with a minimum of 10 years' industry experience to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to expand their knowledge into the rapidly growing renewable energy sector.
Whilst previous solar and battery experience would be advantageous, it is not essential. Full training will be provided in Solar PV, Battery Storage Systems, EV Charging and associated renewable technologies. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to gain formal industry-recognised qualifications in Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage Systems as part of their professional development with Apex Doma.
You will work closely with our installation teams to deliver high-quality installations while maintaining the exceptional standards our customers expect.
What You'll Be Doing
- Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems.
- Installing and commissioning Battery Energy Storage Systems.
- Installing EV charging equipment.
- Carrying out testing, inspection, commissioning and fault-finding activities.
- Completing installation certification and technical documentation.
- Working with industry-leading products from brands including Tesla, Sigenergy and Andersen EV.
- Supporting apprentices and junior team members in their development.
- Maintaining exceptional standards of workmanship and customer service.
- Representing Apex Doma professionally on-site and helping deliver the 5★ customer experience that we pride ourselves on.
- Working closely with our roofing, operations and project delivery teams.
- Contributing ideas and improvements as Apex Doma continues to grow and evolve.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 10 years' experience as a qualified electrician.
- ECS Gold Card.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2391 Inspection & Testing (or equivalent).
- City & Guilds 2382 Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
- Suitable to be registered as a Qualified Supervisor under the company's NICEIC Approved Contractor Scheme.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional and customer-focused approach.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new technologies.
Desirable Requirements
- Solar PV qualification.
- EV Charging qualification.
- Battery Storage experience.
- Experience with domestic renewable energy installations.
- Experience commissioning Solar PV and Battery Storage systems.
- IPAF and/or PASMA certification.
