Job Description:

Day Telephonist / Customer Service Agent
EVO Taxi – Professional Taxi Company Based in Haywards Heath

EVO Taxi, a well-established and professional taxi company based in Haywards Heath, is looking for a reliable and organised Day Telephonist / Customer Service Agent to join our growing team. This role involves handling customer calls, booking reservations, and providing excellent customer service face-to-face during daytime operations.

Full training will be provided at our Crawley office for approximately one month before working independently.

Working Hours:

Monday to Friday
07:00 – 18:00

Key Responsibilities:

Answer incoming calls professionally and assist customers with booking enquiries.
Take and manage taxi bookings accurately via phone and email.
Provide fare quotes, estimated arrival times, and journey information.
Maintain clear communication with drivers regarding bookings and customer updates.
Monitor booking emails and respond promptly to customer requests.
Ensure all customer information is entered correctly into the dispatch system.
Provide excellent customer service and resolve enquiries calmly and efficiently.
Assist with general office and administrative duties during shifts.
Support the operations team with day-to-day booking coordination.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a UK taxi, private hire, transport, or customer service environment is preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Confident using computer booking and dispatch systems.
Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask in a busy environment.
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
Must be able to commute reliably or live within 30 minutes of Haywards Heath.
