Delivery & Fleet Supervisor

Furnished Homes is looking for an experienced Delivery & Fleet Supervisor to lead our Glasgow delivery operation.
This is not a driving role. We are looking for a hands-on operational leader who can manage people, drive high standards, and ensure our fleet and delivery teams operate safely, efficiently and professionally every day.
You’ll need the confidence to challenge poor practices, hold people accountable and make decisions that put safety, compliance and customer service first.

What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Leading and supervising a team of delivery drivers.
- Managing the day-to-day operation of the delivery fleet.
- Ensuring all vehicle checks, servicing, defects and compliance requirements are completed.
- Carrying out regular vehicle and delivery audits.
- Monitoring driver performance, attendance and conduct.
- Ensuring Risk Assessments and Dynamic Risk Assessments are completed and followed.
- Investigating accidents, incidents, vehicle damage and near misses.
- Reviewing photographs, videos and other evidence following incidents.
- Ensuring company Health & Safety policies are followed without exception.
- Coaching and developing delivery teams to improve performance.
- Managing difficult conversations professionally and confidently.
- Working closely with the Drivers and Fleet Manager to continually improve performance.
- Supporting our other company locations when required.
We’re Looking For Someone Who
- Has previous experience supervising delivery, transport or logistics teams.
- Has excellent Health & Safety knowledge and understands the importance of compliance.
- Has strong administrative skills and can maintain accurate records, reports and compliance documentation.
- Is organised, methodical and pays close attention to detail.
- Is confident dealing with challenging situations and difficult conversations.
- Can stand their ground while remaining professional and fair.
- Is comfortable holding employees accountable for poor performance or unsafe behaviours.
- Has excellent communication skills.
- Can prioritise workload in a fast-moving environment.
- Has good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Holds a full UK Driving Licence.
Desirable
- IOSH Managing Safely.
- First Aid at Work.
- Experience within furniture delivery or home delivery operations.
- Experience using fleet management or telematics systems.
- Experience investigating workplace incidents.

Pay: From £31,724.00 per year
