Head of Events and Hospitality
6 Month Fixed Term Contract with the potential to become permanent
Location: Brighton & Hove or any Freedom Works Group location
About Us
Freedom Works Group brings together three businesses with a shared mission: creating spaces, communities and experiences that help people and businesses thrive.
Our brands include Freedom Works, PLATF9RM and Freedom Works Business Support. Together, we support thousands of businesses across Sussex and beyond through flexible workspace, events, hospitality and business support services.
The Opportunity
We're looking for a commercially minded and hands on Head of Events and Hospitality to help shape and grow our events and hospitality offer across the Group.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a growing area of the business.
You'll lead our events and hospitality operation across Freedom Works and PLATF9RM, ensuring events are professionally delivered, commercially successful and provide an outstanding experience for clients, members and guests.
You'll oversee everything from external conferences and networking events to café operations, catering and hospitality services. Working closely with the Managing Director and senior leadership team, you'll play a key role in developing new revenue opportunities, building partnerships and ensuring operational excellence across the Group.
This isn't simply an operational events role. We're looking for someone who can identify opportunities, grow revenue and create a sustainable events and hospitality function that delivers real value to the business.
You'll be equally comfortable building partnerships, meeting clients, developing new ideas and rolling up your sleeves to support delivery when needed.
Why a 6 Month Contract?
This role has been created with a clear commercial objective: to grow and develop an events and hospitality function that delivers meaningful revenue for the Group.
We're investing in this position to create a sustainable and profitable area of the business through events, hospitality and strategic partnerships. During the first six months, you'll have the opportunity to shape the function, demonstrate its commercial impact and build a strong pipeline of revenue generating activity.
For the right person, there is genuine potential for the role to become permanent based on the success of the function and the value it creates for the Group.
