We are looking for a caring, compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team and help us provide the highest standards of care and support to our residents.

As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting residents with their day-to-day needs while promoting their comfort, dignity, independence and wellbeing.

About the role

Your responsibilities will include:

Providing person-centred care and support with daily living, including washing, dressing, toileting and mobility.
Supporting Residents with their physical, emotional and social wellbeing.
Assisting Residents with limited mobility or physical/learning difficulties, using appropriate equipment and aids.
Supporting Residents who may be living with confusion or behavioural difficulties.
Assisting with meals and drinks, taking account of dietary requirements and swallowing difficulties.
Escorting Residents to appointments, hospital visits and social outings where required.
Completing daily records and contributing to care planning as required.
Maintaining clean, comfortable and safe bedrooms and communal areas.
Supporting Residents and their families with dignity, sensitivity and compassion, including those receiving end-of-life care.

About you

We’re looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others and is passionate about providing excellent care.

You will ideally have:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A compassionate, respectful and patient approach.
The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A commitment to maintaining Residents’ privacy, dignity and independence.
A willingness to learn and undertake relevant training and qualifications.
Previous experience in a care environment is desirable but not essential.
An S/NVQ in Health Social Care, or a willingness to work towards one, is desirable.
