Full job description

This is a busy practice with a solid work load that requires continuity in our staff. The buildings and projects we are involved with is wide and varied so there is little chance of getting stuck working on the same thing day after day.

You will be based at our Exeter office and our work is mostly in the nearby area and throughout the south west with much of it in the rural parts of Devon. With north and south coasts and Dartmoor in between, there are a lot of good reasons to move to this area if you are not already here.

Structural Engineer Technician/AutoCAD Draftsman

We are also in need of an experienced CAD technician

candidate must have the following.

Effective and efficient operator of Autocad. We are currently using Autocad 2021 & Autocad LT 2016.
Able to produce neat and readable drawings that effectively convey the information.
A good general knowledge of building construction.

Desirable qualities for candidates include the following.

3D Autocad
Some design ability
Experience of working on timber structures.
Experience and understanding of ecologically sound construction and understanding of highly insulated/draught proofed building construction.
Experience of work on Historic buildings.
Able to carry out and draw dimensional surveys.
Construction related formal education with qualifications (HNC/BTEC).
