About RJM Sports:

RJM Sports Ltd is a family-run business established in 2003. From our beginnings as a local retailer, we’ve grown into one of the UK’s leading independent sportswear specialists, working with clubs, schools, and governing bodies at all levels. Our in-house design, print, and embroidery services allow us to deliver customised teamwear and sports equipment quickly and professionally. With expertise across football, basketball, and many other sports, we take pride in combining product knowledge, excellent service, and a friendly, dedicated team.

The Role:
We are looking for a friendly, organised, and motivated Customer Service & Sales Assistant to join our team. The role involves dealing with customer enquiries by phone, email, and in-store, processing online orders, assisting with supplier orders, and supporting the day-to-day running of our customer service and sales operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Answer customer enquiries by telephone, email, and in person, providing a friendly and professional service.
Serve customers in-store.
Process and manage online orders and liaise with customers regarding stock availability, order updates, deliveries, refunds, and exchanges.
Assist with placing and processing orders with suppliers and checking stock availability and lead times.
Develop knowledge of our sportswear and teamwear ranges with the opportunity to progress into more sales-based responsibilities.
Use Microsoft Office and internal computer systems to manage customer and order information.
Assist with general administration and other tasks to support the wider team.

What we are looking for:

Previous experience in customer service, retail, sales, or administration is preferred.
Confident and professional telephone and face-to-face communication skills.
Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Strong attention to detail and ability to process orders accurately.
Ability to work well in a team with an enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to deal with customer and supplier queries effectively.
Hardworking, reliable, and flexible when it comes to supporting other areas of the business.
Previous experience within sportswear, teamwear, or e-commerce would be an advantage but is not essential.

Pay dependent on experience and skills.

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
