We are looking for a thoughtful and reliable housekeeper to join our small, friendly team at Cottage Orné. This role works closely alongside our Head of Housekeeping and supports the day-to-day cleaning and presentation of the cottages and shared spaces, helping to ensure each one feels calm, welcoming and beautifully prepared for our guests.
You will play an important part in keeping standards consistently high across the site, from detailed changeover cleans to caring for our shared facilities. We are a small, supportive team and take great pride in creating a warm, well-run environment, both for our guests and for each other. We are looking for someone who enjoys being part of that and takes genuine pride in leaving spaces looking their very best.
What is the job?
You will be helping to prepare our cottages and shared spaces for guest arrivals, maintaining the high standards we are known for and supporting the smooth running of housekeeping across the site.
This includes caring for our cottages, helping with linen and laundry organisation, restocking supplies and keeping our shared spaces, including our sauna and wellness areas, clean and welcoming. You will work closely with our Head of Housekeeping and wider team and play an important part in keeping everything running calmly behind the scenes.
Hours
We are looking for a part time staff member to join our team. Our hours are flexible throughout the year, depending on the season. Shifts will usually fall between 10am and 4pm, with the opportunity for additional hours during peak periods and to help cover holidays. Some weekend and early evening work may be required, and a little flexibility will be helpful as the role naturally moves with the rhythm of the season.
Who are you?
- Someone that has previous cleaning or housekeeping experience (hospitality or holiday lets helpful but not essential)
- Someone that takes pride in their work and has a strong eye for detail
- Reliable and enjoys working as part of a small team
Responsibilities
- Preparing cottages for guest arrivals to a high standard
- General cleaning and presentation of bedrooms, bathrooms and living spaces
- Supporting linen changeovers and laundry organisation
- Restocking guest supplies
- Cleaning and maintaining shared facilities including our sauna and wellness spaces
- Noticing and reporting any maintenance or damage
- Working closely with the Head of Housekeeping and wider team
- Helping maintain a calm and organised working environment
Requirements
- Own transport is essential due to our rural location.
- The site is non-smoking, so it is important to be a non-smoker.
- Confidence in working with a small team and getting stuck in.
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the business.
- A great eye for detail and a sense of pride in your work – passionate about going the extra mile.
