Full job description

Overview

We are an established e-commerce company (DIYUK) specializing in professional fasteners, fixings, and structural hardware. We are looking for a versatile, detail-oriented E-commerce Assistant to join our team in Preston/Blackpool area.

This is a dual-role position. You will be responsible for accurately fulfilling technical orders in the warehouse and providing high-quality support to our online customers. We value technical precision and reliability over raw speed.

Working Hours (Fixed Schedule)

Monday to Friday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sunday: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Standard hourly rate applies)
Saturday: Day Off
Total: 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Order Fulfillment: Picking and packing technical DIY products (bolts, screws, brackets).
Technical Accuracy: High attention to detail is essential. You must be able to distinguish between similar items, such as different thread sizes (M8/M10), lengths, and finishes (Galvanised/Zinc/Stainless Steel).
Customer Support: Responding to customer inquiries via email and marketplace messaging (Amazon/eBay) in professional English.
Listing Management: Helping to update product descriptions and stock levels on our website and online marketplaces.
Inventory: Receiving heavy stock deliveries, organizing the warehouse, and conducting regular stock counts.

Requirements

Excellent Written English: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers.
Technical Mindset: Comfortable handling hardware products and understanding technical measurements.
Computer Literate: Proficient with online systems (Amazon, eBay, or Shopify) and basic office tools.
Physical Fitness: Capable of manual handling and lifting heavy boxes (fasteners can be heavy).
Proactive: Able to switch between warehouse and office tasks independently.

Salary & Benefits

Pay: £12.50 - £13.00 per hour (depending on experience).
Sunday Pay: Please note that Sunday shifts are paid at the standard hourly rate.
Stability: Fixed working hours with a stable, permanent contract.
