Stage 1: Sift
At sift, you will be assessed against the following Success Profile elements:
Experience you will be asked to provide a CV (unlimited wordcount) and personal statement (1250-word count). Please provide evidence of your Experience of the following:

In-depth knowledge of light and/or heavy vehicle engineering and vehicle technologies.

Experience translating strategic objectives into operational action

Experience of managing quality systems ensuring consistency of output or process delivery

Experience working across teams both internally and externally and collaborating with teams to achieve mutual understanding and outcomes.
The sift will take place week commencing 27th July 2026.
Stage 2: Interview
At interview stage, you will be assessed against the following Success Profile elements:

Behaviours Communicating and Influencing, Leadership, Developing Self and Others, Managing a Quality Service, Changing and Improving.

Strengths
You will also be required to create and deliver a presentation to assess the Behaviour Managing a Quality Service. Guidance will be provided if you are invited to interview.
The interviews will take place week commencing 10th August 2026.
This interview will be conducted in person at our Bristol office DVSA, Berkeley House, Croydon Street, Bristol
BS5 0DA.
