We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Site Finance Manager to join our growing fulfilment operation. This is a key on-site finance leadership role where you will act as the trusted finance business partner to operational, commercial and senior management teams, ensuring strong financial control while driving profitability and operational performance.
This opportunity is ideal for a qualified accountant who has experience within logistics, warehousing, distribution, transport or ecommerce fulfilment environments and enjoys working closely with operational teams to turn data into meaningful business insight.
What You'll Be Doing

Partnering with site management to support financial performance and operational decision-making.

Producing weekly and monthly financial reports, forecasts and management information.

Managing revenue, margin and cost reporting to ensure accurate financial performance measurement.

Leading customer profitability analysis and identifying opportunities to improve margins.

Maintaining strong balance sheet controls, reconciliations and financial governance.

Supporting budgeting, forecasting and reforecasting activities.

Reviewing operational KPIs including productivity, labour, carrier and fulfilment costs.

Supporting customer reporting, invoice reconciliations and aged debt management.

Driving process improvements and identifying risks and opportunities across the operation.
Providing clear financial insight and challenge to both finance and non-finance stakeholders.

Additional Information: This is a full-time, on-site role. Some travel to other Whistl sites may be required to support business needs.

What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience

Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent experience).

Strong management accounting and financial control background.

Experience within logistics, warehousing, ecommerce fulfilment, transport or distribution environments.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate trends, variances and financial performance.

Commercial awareness and the ability to connect operational activity with financial outcomes.

Experience of budgeting, forecasting, audit support and balance sheet management.

Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups and financial modelling.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with Microsoft Business Central (Navision) or similar finance systems.

Open-book customer reporting experience.

Direct ecommerce fulfilment experience.
- Qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent, with significant post-qualification experience in a similar finance management role.

Proven experience in financial control, budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting within a logistics, distribution, supply chain, or manufacturing environment.

Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights clearly to non-finance colleagues.

Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, able to build effective relationships at all levels.

Confident IT user, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and experience with finance/ERP systems.

Proactive, organised, and able to work independently, managing multiple priorities to meet deadlines.

Positive, can-do attitude with a drive for continuous improvement and a commitment to upholding the highest professional standards.

Previous team leadership or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
