We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Ground Work/Demolition Labourer to join our team. This role involves assisting with various site activities, supporting a range of surfacing, groundwork and external projects, and ensuring the smooth operation of daily tasks. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the construction or civil engineering sectors. All roles are paid, including internships, and require a proactive approach to work.
Responsibilities
- Assisting with site preparation, including clearing debris and organising materials
- Supporting skilled tradespeople with basic tasks such as mixing materials or setting up equipment
- Moving and transporting materials around the site using manual handling techniques or basic machinery
- Ensuring the work area remains clean, safe, and organised at all times
- Following health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries
- Assisting with minor repairs or maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors
- Supporting the installation of structures or infrastructure as required
Experience
- Previous experience in construction, landscaping, or labouring roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks over extended periods
- Basic understanding of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to various site requirements
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- CSCS card is preferable but not essential
