About the Role

As Deputy Manager of a Residential Care Home able to offer care to suffers of substance misuse, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to:

Support the day-to-day running of the service
Lead and supervise care and support staff
Ensure high standards of care, safety, and compliance
Promote a structured, recovery-focused environment
Support residents with dignity, respect, and clear boundaries
Assist with rota management, staffing, and absence cover
Contribute to audits, quality improvement, and inspections
Step up to manage the service in the Manager’s absence
Meds trained is essential

This role requires a calm, resilient leader who can balance empathy with accountability.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

Has experience managing or supervising within a CQC-regulated care service
Understands safeguarding, risk management, and care planning
Has experience working with vulnerable adults (substance misuse experience desirable but not essential)
Is confident leading teams and addressing performance issues
Demonstrates strong organisational and communication skills
Holds (or is willing to work towards) Level 3 or Level 5 in Health & Social Care

You do not need to be a nurse or clinician — strong operational and people management experience is key.
