Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Geoenvironmental Consultant to join our established Land Quality & Remediation team at Associate level based in Leeds (our grades run from Graduate - Project – Senior – Associate – Principal – Technical Director).
You'll play a key role, managing projects, developing client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the team. The role includes:
- Leadership and management of a successful team of engineers and environmental consultants
- Business development, bid management and work-winning activities
- Financial and commercial management of projects
- Project management and technical oversight of site investigations and assessments
- Leading fieldwork programmes, data interpretation and reporting
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships across multiple sectors
- Preparation and review of technical reports, risk assessments and remediation strategies
- Mentoring and developing junior and mid-level team members
You'll collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams across Ground Engineering, Environmental and Earth Sciences, Planning and Engineering to deliver innovative and integrated solutions for our clients.

About You
- Extensive experience within contaminated land, geo-environmental consultancy or a related environment, with ideally 8+ years' experience
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline; Chartered status desirable
- Proven experience managing teams, projects, clients and budgets
- Strong business development skills with the ability to identify and secure new opportunities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong track record of delivering clear, concise technical reports
- Strong understanding of contaminated land regulation, legislation and risk assessment frameworks
- Good knowledge of water, ground and soil gas investigation techniques and assessments
- Strong understanding of UK ground conditions, geology and ground investigation practices
- Experience logging soils and rock in accordance with current British Standards
- Ability to interpret geological maps, ground investigation data and geotechnical information
- Experience developing and applying conceptual site models to design and justify investigation strategies
- Experience delivering factual and interpretative Phase I and Phase II Geo-Environmental Assessments
- Experience working with clients such as house builders, developers, contractors, infrastructure organisations and public sector bodies would be advantageous
- Strong project management, commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement skills
- A full UK driving licence, or the ability to travel to sites across the UK, is required for site visits and client meetings
