Role Purpose
We are looking for a motivated, commercially minded, and relationship-driven Business Development & Procurement Officer to help expand Cedar Care Group's growing property portfolio across the UK.
This role combines business development, relationship management, and property acquisition, making it ideal for someone who enjoys building partnerships, negotiating deals, and identifying new opportunities.
You will be responsible for sourcing suitable residential properties, developing long-term relationships with landlords, letting agents, estate agents, and property owners, and guiding new properties through the onboarding process. You'll work closely with our Housing, Compliance, and Operations teams to ensure every property meets our quality and compliance standards before becoming part of our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Property Acquisition
- Identify and secure suitable residential properties to support Cedar Care Group's expanding housing portfolio.
- Proactively generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, research, cold calling, and relationship building.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with landlords, letting agents, estate agents, property developers, and housing providers.
- Build a pipeline of prospective landlords and properties to support continued business growth.
- Promote Cedar Care Group's property management and housing services to potential partners.
- Represent the organisation professionally during meetings, networking opportunities, and property visits.
Negotiation & Procurement
- Negotiate rental terms, lease agreements, and management arrangements that deliver value for both landlords and the organisation.
- Arrange and attend property viewings, assessing suitability based on location, condition, compliance, cost, and operational requirements.
- Work closely with landlords throughout the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
- Maintain regular communication with landlords to encourage long-term partnerships and repeat business.
Property Onboarding & Coordination
- Collaborate with Housing, Compliance, Assets, and Operations teams to ensure properties meet all required standards.
- Coordinate property inspections, repairs, compliance checks, certifications, and readiness for occupancy.
- Support due diligence on landlords, agents, and properties, including ownership verification and compliance documentation.
- Monitor the progress of each property from initial enquiry through to onboarding.
Administration & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of landlord enquiries, negotiations, property leads, and onboarding progress.
- Update CRM systems and internal property trackers.
- Prepare reports on property acquisition activity, pipeline performance, and business development outcomes.
- Monitor local property markets and identify emerging opportunities to support future growth.

Pay: £25,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
