Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Baker to join the NØT Bakery team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in bakery production and preparation within a professional kitchen environment. The successful candidate will assist in various kitchen tasks, supporting the culinary team to deliver high-quality pastries while ensuring food safety standards are maintained. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about baking and eager to gain practical experience in a production bakery.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bakery preparation, including chopping, peeling, and measuring ingredients.
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior bakers.
- Help with baking tasks as required, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations and kitchen equipment.
- Follow food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
- Prepare ingredients and assist in finishing pastries.
- Support inventory management by notifying of stock shortages.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by working collaboratively with colleagues
Skills
- Basic knowledge of food production and preparation techniques.
- Experience or interest in cooking, baking, or culinary arts.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Previous bakery or kitchen experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to work efficiently under supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take direction from senior staff.
