Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled MIG Welders to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding operations, primarily using MIG welding techniques, to fabricate and assemble metal components. Duties
- Execute MIG welding on various metal components, ensuring adherence to technical specifications and safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal and other materials.
- Fabricate components by measuring, cutting, and assembling parts with accuracy.
- Perform routine inspections of welds for quality assurance and rectify any defects or inconsistencies.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and stored.
- Collaborate with the fabrication team to meet production deadlines while maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times during welding operations.
Skills
- Proven experience in MIG welding with a solid understanding of welding principles and techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and other fabrication equipment.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to metal fabrication and assembly processes.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately.
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work and the use of various welding accessories.
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail to ensure quality standards are met consistently.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment while adhering to health and safety regulations.
