Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our premises, staff, and visitors. This position requires keen observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- The role is not an easy task duties include:
To patrol a large public estate, ensuring all buildings are locked and alarmed
To ensure all car parks are secure each evening
Assist members of public when they are leaving by providing directions and help
To stop anti-social behaviour by being a visible presence around the estate
Monitor onsite CCTV and respond to triggers of trespass
Act as a response to CCTV, Intruder and Fire alarm activations
Requirements
- Previous experience in security or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in a customer engaging role
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during shifts.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and collaboration with team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Dedication to the shift pattern : 18:00-06:00 Monday to Sunday
- Ideally we will recruit 2 officers on a full time basis working either a 3on 3off or 4on 4off
- Ability to be at the location 10 minutes before shift start time so staff can handover keys/relevant information
- Driving license is essential as you be provided with an ATV vehicle to navigate the estate.
- Rate of pay - £13.00 per + dependant on experience
