Purpose
The Health & Safety Coordinator will support the Head of QHSE in coordinating and maintaining the company’s health and safety arrangements across its production, warehouse, office and technical repair activities.
The role combines practical shop-floor engagement with effective administration of the Health & Safety Management System. The postholder will spend a significant proportion of their time working alongside managers and employees to identify hazards, encourage safe behaviours, coordinate compliance activities and ensure Health & Safety standards are consistently implemented throughout the business.
The role will also support the continued development of the Company's QHSE Management System through Microsoft SharePoint, maintaining Health & Safety documentation, forms, records and lists while contributing to continual improvement initiatives across the business.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Support the Head of QHSE in maintaining and improving company health and safety policies, procedures and documentation.
- Maintain a visible presence across production, warehouse and support areas, engaging with employees and managers to promote safe working practices and a positive Health & Safety culture.
- Carry out routine workplace inspections, identifying hazards, monitoring standards and ensuring corrective actions are assigned, tracked and completed.
- Maintain the Health & Safety section of SharePoint, ensuring documents are current, appropriately approved and subject to effective version control.
- Coordinate the review and updating of workplace risk assessments, COSHH assessments and other health and safety documentation.
- Assist managers and employees with the completion of suitable and sufficient risk assessments.
- Support the development and maintenance of safe systems of work, method statements and operating procedures.
- Coordinate routine workplace health and safety inspections and ensure that resulting actions are recorded and followed through.
- Maintain records of health and safety inspections, audits, incidents, training and statutory compliance activities.
- Support the collection and preparation of health and safety performance information for monthly reports and management meetings.
- Attend and support Health & Safety meetings, including preparing agendas, recording actions and following up on outstanding items.

Essential
- Working in a health and safety, compliance or administrative coordination role.
- Maintaining health and safety records, action trackers and compliance documentation.
- Supporting risk assessments, inspections or workplace audits.
- Working with employees and managers across different departments.
- Using SharePoint or another document management system
- Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Desirable
- Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, warehousing or technical service environment.
- Coordinating statutory inspections and external contractors.
- Supporting accident or incident investigations.
- Exposure to ISO 45001, ISO 14001 or other formal management systems.
