Property Administrator / Credit Controller
Location: Nottingham City Centre
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Salary: £28,000–£30,000 depending on experience, plus bonus

We are looking for an experienced Property Administrator / Credit Controller to join our property team in Nottingham City Centre.
The main focus of this role will be managing rent accounts, allocating rent payments, chasing arrears, and dealing with tenants regarding overdue rent. The successful candidate must have experience in credit control, rent arrears, payment chasing, accounts receivable, or a similar role.
This role would suit someone who is organised, accurate, confident on the phone, and comfortable having firm but professional conversations with tenants.
Alongside the credit control side of the role, you will also assist with general day-to-day property management administration.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Managing tenant rent accounts
- Allocating incoming rent payments
- Chasing overdue rent and arrears by phone and email
- Sending rent statements and arrears reminders
- Agreeing and monitoring payment plans
- Keeping accurate records of arrears conversations and follow-up actions
- Handling tenant sign-ups and tenancy paperwork
- Carrying out Right to Rent checks
- Using Goodlord for tenant onboarding
- Updating tenant and property records
- Assisting with deposits, move-ins and move-outs
- Booking check-ins, inspections and check-outs
- Managing keys and access arrangements
- Assisting with tenancy renewals
- Supporting the wider team with general property management tasks
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in credit control, rent arrears, payment chasing, accounts receivable, or similar
- Experience managing rent accounts or overdue payments
- Confidence dealing with difficult conversations
- A firm but professional communication style
- Strong attention to detail
- Good organisation and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- A strong work ethic and proactive approach
- Confidence using Microsoft Office
Experience using Alto property management software would be a plus, although training can be provided. Experience with Goodlord would also be useful.
Previous property, lettings, student accommodation, or property management experience would be helpful, but the most important requirement is proven experience in credit control, arrears handling, and payment chasing.

Bonus
A performance-related bonus of up to 10% is available in addition to the basic salary. This is subject to both personal performance and wider company performance.
