Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Media & Communications Executive.

This is an exciting role for a motivated self-starter in a friendly and dynamic team where you will get the opportunity to learn new skills and be helping with content creation, social media marketing and briefing and owning relationships with the media. You will travel on PR activations around the country and also manage team media monitoring.

We are looking for someone with lots of creative ideas to help get our clients noticed.

You will need to have excellent writing skills, a solid understanding of social media and interest in emerging trends. You will also be a stickler for accuracy and deadlines, and you will know what’s going on in the news agenda.

Responsibilities

Supporting and working alongside the Media and Communications Director and Senior Media and Communications Manager on a variety of tasks, you will make a key contribution to the department with responsibilities that include:

Writing content such as blogs and press releases
Pitching press releases and comments to the media
Building relationships with key media contacts
Travelling to manage in-person PR activations
Helping to manage social media activity and campaigns for us and our clients, using scheduling tools
Coming up with creative ideas and helping to put them into practice to achieve communications objectives
Reporting coverage and shared progress documents
Keeping up with the news agenda – and bringing that insight to our work.

Knowledge, Experience and Skills

Experience in PR, journalism, and social media and/or a degree or equivalent qualification in a PR/Marketing/Media related subject
Digital Marketing understanding with great attention to detail
An excellent copywriter who loves to write in a variety of formats!
Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and the ability to multi-task
Good understanding of social media platforms and eye for future, emerging trends
Ability to work under pressure
Analytical and excellent organisation skills
Adobe photoshop experience desirable
Agency experience is desired but not essential
Paid social experience desired but not essential
Influencer management desired but not essential

We offer hybrid working following a 3:2 working pattern with the option to work from home on two fixed day each week (Thursday and Friday).

Pay: £25,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
