Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Shipping, Imports & Inventory Coordinator to join our team. Working closely with the Procurement, Warehouse, Sales and overseas teams, this role is responsible for coordinating international imports, including air and sea freight from the Far East. You will play a key role in ensuring product availability, supporting effective procurement decisions and aligning inventory flow with seasonal and operational demand.

Key Responsibilities
· Manage international import shipments (air and sea freight), acting as the main point of contact for freight forwarders.
· Obtain and compare air freight quotations, present recommendations for approval and arrange shipments with freight forwarders.
· Ensure all shipping documentation is accurate and that customs clearance instructions are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
· Work closely with the Technical team to ensure customs compliance requirements, declarations of conformity and HS codes are submitted correctly.
· Proactively identify risks or delays within the critical path and resolve or escalate issues as necessary, maintaining full visibility and control throughout the shipment lifecycle.
· Track and review freight costs and support cost-saving initiatives.
· Maintain accurate records of shipments, duties and freight costs.
· Support the placement of purchase orders within the ERP system under the direction of the Senior Supply Chain Coordinator, and amend purchase orders as required, ensuring system data remains accurate and up to date.
· Prepare regular reports on stock levels, sales performance and supplier orders to support demand forecasting decisions, highlighting low stock levels and slow-moving product lines.
Skills & Experience
· Experience coordinating international shipments (air and sea freight), ideally from the Far East.
· Strong knowledge of import regulations, customs procedures and shipping documentation.
· Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
· Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
· Proactive, solution-focused approach to problem-solving.
· Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
· Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills.
· Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: £27,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
