Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated Trainee Pizza Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about food preparation and culinary arts to gain hands-on experience in a busy restaurant environment. The role involves assisting with the preparation of delicious pizzas and learning essential kitchen skills under the guidance of our experienced chefs. Duties

Assist in preparing pizza dough, toppings, and ingredients according to company recipes and standards
Support the cooking process by operating pizza ovens and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations
Help with food assembly, including topping pizzas uniformly and ensuring presentation meets quality standards
Follow food safety protocols at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
Support senior chefs during busy periods by preparing ingredients or performing basic cooking tasks
Participate in cleaning schedules to ensure the kitchen remains hygienic and well-maintained
Learn about portion control, ingredient management, and efficient workflow within a fast-paced environment

Skills

Basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
Prior experience in a kitchen setting or restaurant environment is advantageous but not essential; enthusiasm to learn is key
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a busy kitchen setting
Good organisational skills with attention to detail when handling ingredients and preparing dishes
