About 4-Events
4-Events is a specialist events company delivering high-energy interactive experiences across the UK. We focus on motorsport-themed entertainment, including professional racing simulators, Formula 1 experiences, and large-scale event activations for corporate clients, exhibitions, and public events. Our team delivers engaging, technology-driven experiences for audiences of all sizes.
4Events is looking for enthusiastic, reliable people to join our growing team of freelance event crew.
We provide interactive entertainment and event experiences for corporate events, exhibitions, team-building days and other events across the UK, including racing simulators, virtual reality experiences, arcade games, Pit stop challenges and much more.
You'll work alongside one of our experienced Event Managers, helping them set up, operate and pack down our equipment and making sure guests have a fantastic experience. When you are comfortable with the equipment, you may also be expected to go out on your own, or lead your own team of freelancers as an 'Acting Event Manager'.
What you'll be doing
Your role will vary from event to event, but typically you'll be helping with:
- Loading and unloading event equipment
- Setting up simulators, games, VR equipment and event activities
- Assisting the Event Manager throughout the event
- Welcoming guests and explaining how activities work
- Helping operate our equipment and attractions
- Keeping event areas tidy, safe and presentable
- Packing down equipment at the end of the event
- Loading equipment ready for the journey home
Who we're looking for
You don't need to be an experienced Event Manager – we're looking for the right attitude above all else.
You'll need to be:
- Reliable and punctual
- Friendly, confident and comfortable speaking to guests
- Happy working as part of a team
- Practical and willing to get stuck in
- Presentable and professional when working with our clients
- Comfortable with some physical work when setting up and packing down
- Able to follow instructions and work under the direction of an Event Manager
- Flexible, as event work can involve early starts, late finishes and weekends
An interest in events, technology, gaming, simulators or VR is a bonus, but isn't essential as training will be provided.
The work
This is a freelance/casual position, so the amount of work will vary depending on our event schedule.
Our events take place at venues across the UK, so there will be opportunities to work in lots of different locations and at a wide variety of corporate events.
You'll normally work as part of a 4Events team with an experienced Event Manager in charge. However you may also go out on your own, or lead your own team.
This could be ideal for someone looking for flexible additional work alongside another job, studies or other freelance commitments.
