Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced subcontractor(self employed) to join our team as a Van Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely arrivals and maintaining excellent communication with clients and team members. This role offers an opportunity to utilise your driving skills within a dynamic warehouse environment, supporting our logistical operations. The ideal applicant will possess strong driving experience, particularly in commercial settings.

Duties

Safely operate delivery vehicles, including Luton vans adhering to all traffic regulations and safety standards.
Plan and execute daily delivery routes efficiently, ensuring punctuality and customer satisfaction.
Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with clients regarding delivery times and any unforeseen delays.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, vehicle maintenance, and fuel consumption.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure roadworthiness.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a delivery driver, preferably within a commercial or warehouse setting.
Valid clean UK driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
Experience in commercial driving and knowledge of traffic laws.
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and clients.
Organised with excellent time management skills to meet tight schedules.
Ability to work independently and responsibly in a fast-paced environment. This position offers an engaging opportunity for individuals with solid driving experience who are organised, physically fit, and committed to delivering exceptional service.
