Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Van Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, looking to contribute to a dynamic logistics operation. The position involves in-person driving duties, requiring a valid driver’s licence and good organisational skills.

Duties

Safely operate company delivery vans to transport goods to designated locations
Plan delivery routes to optimise efficiency and minimise delays
Load and unload items, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring proper handling of goods
Confirm deliveries with recipients and obtain signatures or proof of delivery as required
Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle logs
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance issues promptly
Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols during transit
Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse teams regarding delivery schedules or issues

Requirements

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving roles
Valid driver’s licence with a clean driving record; <PERSON> driver qualification preferred
Experience with warehouse operations and heavy lifting is advantageous
Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members
Ability to handle physical tasks such as heavy lifting and manoeuvring goods
Good organisational skills for route planning and time management
Knowledge of local roads and traffic regulations within the area
Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality

This role is ideal for individuals committed to delivering excellent service while maintaining safety standards. We value drivers who are organised, communicative, and capable of managing their workload efficiently.
