Full job description

Overview

Vimpex is hiring additional production staff. The factory currently operates one shift from Monday to Friday 08.30 to 16.30 with 30 minutes for lunch. The Production Operative positions report to the Production Supervisor.

The role will encompass the following;

Labelling and general assembly of Vimpex products
Following build instructions
Undertaking quality checks
Working to production deadlines
Testing of products
Using company ERP software

Education

We would expect candidate’s qualification to include the following;

GCSE English Grade C / Level 4 or above
GCSE Maths Grade C / Grade 4 or above

Skills

We would expect the candidate to have and be able to demonstrate the following skills:

Good attention to detail
Professional and efficient
Understanding manufacturing processes and documentation
Being computer literate
Capable of understanding and following assembly drawings
Manual dexterity
Previous experience in an electronic manufacturing environment and soldering skills would be advantageous
