We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Fire & Security Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have hands-on experience across a range of systems including fire alarms, emergency lighting, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems. You will be expected to work independently to industry standards, including SSAIB and BAFE.Key Responsibilities
- Install and maintain fire and security systems in line with BAFE and SSAIB regulations.
- Commission systems and complete customer handovers professionally.
- Diagnose and repair faults across various systems.
- Accurately complete electronic reports and documentation in a timely manner.
- Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota (approximately once every six weeks) to support our 24/7 service commitment.
- Collaborate with team members, sharing technical knowledge and maintaining positive working relationships.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in fire and security systems.
- In-depth knowledge of:
- BS5839:1 (Fire Detection and Fire Alarm Systems)
- BS5266:1 (Emergency Lighting)
- BS7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
- Experience with BAFE SP203-1 and SSAIB standards is essential.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficient with IT systems and reporting software.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proactive, ambitious, and solutions-focused.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Must have the legal right to work in the UK.
