The School of Geography and Sustainable Development seeks to appoint a Technician in Physical and Environmental Geography to provide technical and administrative support for organising, setting up and running undergraduate laboratory and field teaching alongside assisting students and staff with research projects in physical and environmental geography. The role holder will be responsible for ensuring health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to, maintaining and running equipment, and managing consumables stock, as well as providing proactive support to the Senior Technician and School Building Officer as required.
Excellent organisational, technical and communication skills are essential for this post. You will be a strong team player with good interpersonal skills, a self-starter who is able to plan, organise and prioritise their workload in a busy and fast-paced lab and teaching environment.
