Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Commis Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will play a vital part in food preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your enthusiasm for cooking and commitment to food safety will contribute to creating memorable dining experiences for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills within a dynamic hospitality environment, working alongside experienced chefs and kitchen staff.

Duties

Assist in preparing ingredients and cooking dishes according to established recipes and standards
Support the senior kitchen team in food production, ensuring timely and efficient service
Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
Contribute to the presentation of dishes, ensuring they are visually appealing and meet quality standards
Follow instructions from head chefs and supervisors to ensure smooth kitchen operations
Participate in team management tasks, including supervising junior staff when necessary
Help with inventory checks, stock rotation, and proper storage of ingredients

Qualifications

Previous experience in a kitchen environment or hospitality setting is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm for learning is key
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues
Leadership qualities with the ability to supervise and motivate team members when required
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Basic culinary experience or training is advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to develop your skills is essential
